Huawei is making their game strong with the betterment of AI implementation in their smartphones. They recently launched their new flagship under the Honor branding, titled Honor V10. It is expected to be a good competitor to the OnePlus 5T same as its predecessor was to OnePlus 5. This new device comes with the latest Kirin970 SoC which is produced by Huawei themselves. This flagship grade chipset was also used in their recent flagships, Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.

The design is where Honor V10 might be winning the game head-on as it has a home button up-front. As of now, there is no other smartphone in the market that carries a button at the front along with full-view(18:9) display and bezel-less design. Same as the Honor V9 which was sold in the international market as Honor 8 Pro. The Honor V10 will probably be released as Honor 9 Pro in the international market.

This beast sports a 5.99 Inch FullHD+ FullView display which is an aspect ratio of 18:9. It comes with a screen resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch. The bezels are very narrow except the chin where the home button is located. It runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo with homebaked EmotionUI/ EMUI 8.0 skin on top out of the box. The screen-to-body ratio of this device is 78.6% which is a bit larger than the competition.

Under the hood, we have got the Huawei’s homebaked HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. This is an octa-core processor with 4 high-performance Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4Ghz and the other 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8Ghz. This SoC is coupled with the┬áMali-G72 MP12 graphics processor which is not as good as the Adreno GPUs, but it isn’t shabby as well. For the storage, there are three variants available 6GB/128GB, 6GB/64GB and 4GB/64GB. Luckily, the storage is expandable up to 256GB via an SD card using the hybrid SIM slot.

Camera wise, we have a dual-camera setup at the back, one of which is a 16MP (F/1.8) Lens and the other one is a 20MP Lens. It comes with phase detection autofocus(PDAF) and an LED flash right beside the dual camera. At the front, there is a 13MP secondary camera which was expected to be a dual-camera setup as well. It boasts a 3750mAh battery that supports fast charging or called as SuperCharge.
